Thank you Dewey for sharing this one with me, alongside two excellent loose-leaf teas which I have yet to review.
I thought this one was pretty bad.
Dry tea bag smells slightly toasty. The leaf inside the bag is a light green color, lighter than most shou mei white tea.
Upon brewing, smells much more vegetal. Vaguely recognizable as white tea. A hint of floral qualities in the aroma, but also smells like paper and cardboard. There's an odd harshness to the cup. It's not that strongly flavored, but there's a sort of cutting quality, a little like in some cleaning products. Somewhat bitter and astringent but I think it's something else that makes me dislike this one.
Not very pleasant and I would not drink again nor would I recommend it. Among cheap white tea in tea bags, I'd stick with Foojoy or possibly Prince of Peace brand.
