A bold and powerful tea but with some complexity. Fine broken leaf. Infuses quickly...I recommend one and a half minutes, and using less than a teaspoon of leaves. However, if you enjoy a stronger cup, this tea does not get as astringent as you might expect if you brew it longer.
Aroma malty, slightly more vegetal than common for an Assam. I can see the "biscuity" quality claimed in the description. I drank this tea without milk, like most tea.
I don't do this frequently but I also tried making this as iced tea, and it was quite good...not the usual sort of tea you'd think of making for iced tea--less crispness--but it was nice for a change of pace.
This was pricey, especially for a broken leaf tea. For this price you can get much better teas. However, I bought this tea in the US and I suspect it may have had a higher mark-up due to importing. The price in the UK on the company website seems more reasonable.
