I could definitely taste a little chestnut and a little grassiness in the flavor and was delighted by the leaves. Shortly after I first brewed this, I noticed a light astringency or bitterness in the aftertaste. As I drank, this finish became smoother and more muted. The same thing happened with the second cup. I believe this was because I overbrewed it, because for my cup the next day this didn't happen. So I'd definitely recommend a short steep time.
Very pleasant, fresh, smooth, and high quality green tea, that I'm drinking happily. It is very pricey on the website, though. Thanks fore the sample, Alex!
