Earl Grey Tea started my journey into black tea not so long ago. And so, I've tried this one for the double bergamot, thinking that it might be revealing what I like in Earl Grey, and I'm still looking forward to find a good, well-balanced, cheap one.

I bought a box of 20 of these in a Target for about $3, so the value seems about right.

I have to say, the product is as advertised. The flavor of the bergamot is very present, maybe a bit too much for my personal taste. My opinion is that it tastes a bit like hot orange juice with black tea, but I'm not an expert. I just feel like the Earl Grey that I know is a bit muted by the very prominent bergamot flavor.

Overall, I think this tea is directed at those who knows Earl Grey Teas for a long long time, and just wants to try something new, something more fruitful.

Hello, and welcome to RateTea, and thank you for your first review!

I haven't tried this particular one, but I also recently tried another Earl Grey that struck me as too bergamot-ey for my tastes, so I can relate to this a lot. I can see people liking this sort of blend, but I think my favorite balance is one where I'm able to enjoy the flavor of the base tea more. I actually like Stash's regular Earl Grey a fair amount, and I think it even tends to the more bergamot side, especially compared to Twinings and a lot of other mainstream tea bag brands.

Thank you for the greeting message ^_^

I have discovered more about tea in the last couple of weeks than in my whole life, and I think I might become an addict soon.

I am slowly trying the Twinings 4 little demo package (English black tea, Earl Grey, Lady Grey and Irish black tea) and so far, I think the black teas straight are a bit too much bitter for my taste, even with a teaspoon of sugar. I haven't tried the Lady Grey yet, I've learned that it is a licensed tea from Twinnings, can't wait to try it out!

One small thing I wanna mention, I've enjoyed all the Earl Grey teas I've tried to this date, but the one I prefer (yet) is still the one I first tasted at the restaurant Mc Donalds. It's an Higgins & Burke Earl Grey. I noticed that it is not listed on RateTea.com, but maybe I just missed it or it's not popular enough.

Have a good day/night.
