Palais des thes is the best brand I have found for most types of tea. The genmaicha has a quite strong and pleasant taste, and can even endure a long steeping without getting bitter. The taste of the roasted rice gives this tea the added flavour, and you can even eat the rice after (or during!) drinking the tea.

Hello, and welcome to RateTea, and thank you for your first tea reviews!
I have yet to try anything from Palais des Thes, but their teas look impressive from their site. Even though genmaicha is usually viewed as a common or inexpensive type of Japanese tea, I definitely notice a huge difference in quality between the different ones. I recently had one from Octavia tea that was way ahead of the other examples of genmaicha that I have tried.
I look forward to reading more of your reviews! And let me know if you have any questions about the site, or about tea, or if there's any other way I can help you out!
