This is truly a phenomenal tea. I created this account just in order to say this: it is well worth trying.

Thanks for your review! Have you tried other teas from Nepal? I am quite a big fan of Nepalese teas...they are right next to Darjeeling so the teas can have a similar character, but the region isn't as well-known.
I have tried and reviewed 13 or so teas from Nepal and I've been pretty consistently impressed. There are quite a few different companies selling them now. I'd encourage you to look around; DavidsTea can be pretty good (I've had some teas I liked a lot from them) but I find their prices are consistently a little higher than you can find through other companies.

I haven't had the opportunity, but I've been looking. I was incredibly impressed with this one so thanks for the advice!

My favorites have been from Udyan tea, a company based in Darjeeling, India and shipping from there. I also liked the Mist Valley Black Tea from Simpson & Vail, and also Octavia tea has an "Imperial Black" from Nepal, which is more oolong-like.

Wonderful, thank you!

Hi again, just a note that I finally looked up the Octavia Imperial Black, which turns out to be from the same tea garden as this tea, and may in fact be the same tea!
