Very GoodGoodOutstanding

I haven't tried many Irish style (Afternoon or Breakfast) teas, so my opinions thereon may not be worth the electrons wasted to paint these letters across your screen. Regardless, I haven't had a bad one yet. Murchie's various black-tea offerings have proven to be right up in the top echelon of any black teas I've had, and this blend joins the club.

After using up her original batch of Connemara's Irish Afternoon, this is now my wife's favorite tea, and I see why. As with that tea, Murchie's rendition is unpretentious, deep, dark, full-bodied, well-balanced, strong when steeped a long time, and not overly bitter. Just a hearty, robust, evenhanded, muscular tea that stays stout through the whole cup and shouldn't leave you disappointed or feeling deprived...

The bag is somewhat small, so one doesn't get as much tea as with some other brands. Yet you still can steep up a second cup if you don't leave the bag in too long the first go-'round.
