Of all the pure teas I've gotten from David's, this is the first one to not stand out from the crowd. It is not a bad tea at all. Like mostly everything I've tried at David's, it is above average. It is just not as impressive as some of the other Greens and Oolongs I have purchased there. This is one of the lowest priced top shelf pure teas they have. In addition, there are at least 3 or 4 Japanese Sencha options and this is the cheapest. It light, vegetal and refreshing with a subtle oceanic essence when you get it at just the right temperature infusion. There is not so much umami flavor as higher grade Senchas but it is still there to a degree. I will happily finish the 2 oz. I purchased and will gladly consider buying this again one day. I will, however, probably break open the piggy bank and go for one of the more expense Sencha or Gykoru options the next time I visit David's just to see if there is a significant improvement in taste.
