I'll confess I tried this tea after being intrigued at reading the legend of the Big Red Robe. Glad I did. I wonder if a monkey really picked this?
This is my new favorite tea. It has more body and flavor than the more delicate oolong teas. I usually give it a bit more tea and a longer steep than the usual recommendation for oolongs. I go for about 2 1/2 tsp in about a 14 oz ceramic infuser cup for a full five minutes.
I usually use just a little sweetener but this tastes too good as it is. Good for at least two steeps.

The legends of how these teas originate can be really fun to read, even if their truthfulness may be dubious!
I also tend to like oolongs that have a bit more depth and body. I find a lot of high-quality oolongs naturally taste sweet. Some of the greener ones I've tried have been surprisingly sweet naturally, almost tasting as if I had added a bit of honey.
