This tea has a woody smell. It tastes of of coffee, chocolate and smoke but not overpoweringly. It is a full bodied tea with a malty taste. I have also found the taste changes drastically with brewing time. Shorter brews do not seem to produce the coffee/chocolate taste as much. It is never bitter unless over steeped. Not a good candidate for iced tea but a great tea to wake up to. Very nice.

I haven't tried this one but I have fried Formosa oolongs in a similar style to this one.
I often like teas with that coffe/chocolate quality that you describe. A lot of Chinese black teas have quite a lot of this quality.
