this is my second-favorite earl grey [second to Zhena's Gypsy Tea Uplifting Earl Grey].
Since the Gypsy's offering is my favorite, i use it as a standard to compare other earl greys to.
aroma:
dry leaves: wonderful. while different from Gypsy, it is equally great. Rishi has a sweeter smell more closely reminiscent of a freshly sliced orange, while the Gypsy is more pungent and reminiscent of the oils concentrated in the rind.
liquor: again, the Rishi smell is somewhat sweeter.
flavor: i like that they were generous with the bergamot essence. it is considerably more astringent than Gypsy, and somewhat more bitter. it is somewhat sweet. the bergamot flavor is wonderful. to compare its bergamot component to the Gypsy's, i'd say that the Gypsy's is sharper.
