Half-litre pot at home, made from an enchanting blend of green honeybush and rooibos leaves as well as pieces of apple, liquorice root, kiwi, strawberries, elderflower and rose petals - it is hard to fathom how all of this can fit into a meaningful combination, but it certainly does emit a lovely scent. Pours clear robust orange (against white china) with no sediment. Intense aroma of liquorice and fruit (too many types to even try to dwell upon which is more dominant than any other), with touches of rooibos leaves. Sweet, creamy flavour of caramel and liquorice, with fruity notes and touches of rooibos. Smooth, creamy palate with a lingering aftertaste of caramel and liquorice. This must be the staple tea served in the region of heaven that is inhabited by teddy bears. I love it. Liquid dessert, no more, no less. I am contemplating a piece of quality chocolate to complement the cup, but I am afraid that even this might actually ruin the blissful experience. Fair price for such a teddylike treat (42 DKK per 100 g).
