This was another good value tea offered by Harney & Sons. Hats off to their tea blenders, that is an area they seem to excel in - taking mediocre teas, adding to them, and making them into something better. This seems like a cheap Chinese black tea that is nicely spiced up (with citrus, almond, clove, safflowers, and cinnamon, according to their website) and ends up having a Christmas cookie taste. For me this works best with some kind of milk and a little sugar, or even better, use maple syrup instead of sugar - that makes it delicious!
Btw, I get a smile from Harney's labels and graphics. They seem to imitate labels like Twinnings, with their crests and "by appointment to her royal majesty since 1645" type of thing, but Harney's is in fact an American company (with roots in Connecticut and New York) that was founded in 1981. (-; Their Millerton, NY location is quite nice and worth a visit if you are ever in the area.
