How can a green tea be radiant? Is it radioactive, glowing green? Fortunately, the answer is, "No. It's just a name."
This is another in a line of Teavana bagged teas that now come with fairly typical folded bag, string and tag, and is overpriced by a factor of two to three for what one gets, on most sites where it is listed (Wal-Mart, Amazon, a few other stores, and...Staples!). The tea itself is actually reasonably good, but with an unreasonable price, similar or better quality can be had for less. As of this writing, it's $13.74 at Wal-Mart for a box, or 57.3 ยข/bag. That's "steep"!
No more specific source is given for the green tea than China, but it is of good quality. In dry-bag and in-cup aroma, the toasted-rice character comes out well, but isn't overpowering. That is a background flavor in the actual chug, and pretty much disappears in the aftertaste. It's a good, basic green tea, fairly concentrated flavor, nothing weird nor off-base, tolerates different brewing times well without either being too weak or snarling at you, and takes sweetening quite nicely. This tea is well worth trying if at a hotel or conference (where I got it), or if a gift.
