This is a mutt as tea blends go, with white and green tea, "natural flavors" and white cornflower, but it works out well. A recent stay at College of DuPage's nice little student-run hotel featured a selection of Mighty Leaf teas to chug, including a few I hadn't tried nor reviewed yet. This is the first of those. Since Mighty Leaf teas usually are good quality, and came at no extra charge during the stay, I drank a lot of tea while there. Must stay hydrated!
White Orchard surprised me in a positive way with a rather strong yet pleasant dry and in-cup aromas and flavor, and its good tolerance of more than a couple minutes' steeping for a white-green blend. Those aromas and flavor are consistently a well-balanced, floral/melon mix. Mighty Leaf also advertises peach, but I got much less of that taste than melon. Still, I could taste the tea underneath, perhaps showing the advantage of adding some green to white tea when using prominent flavorings. Overall, it was a well-conceived, smooth and enjoyable fruity/floral tea a little unlike others I've had, but in a good way. Unfortunately, I have a hard time giving better than a middling value rating to even a very good tea that retails for nearly $1 per bag (at Amazon and Wal-Mart, as of this writing)!
