Contrary to the established custom of a "breakfast tea", this isn't just a blend of black teas, or black tea with a mild flavoring. Instead, Singapore Breakfast mixes green tea, black tea, vanilla, and unspecified "rare spices". Given the fruitiness of both the aroma and flavor, and the known pieces in the mix, I suspect "rare spices" includes not-rare ginger, cinnamon and one or more tropical fruits. In the back of the room, I think I hear whispering from cardamom and/or saffron (if true, legitimately a premium spice).

Regardless of the mystery of all its components, this is a delicious tea! The vanilla and fruit flavors definitely dominate the blend, but the background tea (especially the black tea) holds its own. In fact, the tea itself is stronger in the dry aroma than in-cup smell or taste, but doesn't get overpowered at any stage. Vanilla here is potent, both creamy and sharp, and very assertive. It wouldn't take much of the vanilla TWG uses to impart an excellent flavor to candies, or to baking mixes for cakes and cookies.

TWG must employ some skilled blendmaster(s), or else has gotten unbelievably lucky with trial-and-error, because each of three of their teas I've had so far from their Bangkok retail store has been high-quality to premium in character. Some may find the premium price worth that; I just docked a little in this case.
