From my first sniff of this tea in TWG's Bangkok shop to the latest chug, I'm struck by the strong resemblance of this flavored rooibos to Murchie's "Cozy Caramel Rooibos." Both use high-quality rooibos with suitably strong flavorings (in this case, as described on TWG's website, "a secret TWG Tea blend of sweet French spices") to achieve much the same effect. The brew ends up a rich deep tan-red, clear, sweet and delicious! The main differences here are twofold:

* A substantial element of French vanilla also is present, enriching and variegating the overall flavor and aromas more, but
* Their potency is less than the Murchie's caramel rooibos. So that's a bit of a tradeoff.

When converted to $USD price from the local currencies where sold, this one does cost more (a lot more), so value is a drag on the rating more than aroma or flavor. Still, if you would love a really sweet, vanilla-boosted caramel rooibos, this is worth at least one try. The experience is truly dessert-like, as advertised, but with enough of the rooibos detectable that one realizes it's not any other herb, and not black tea.
