Although I've seen it happen, peppermint tea is hard to mess up. One almost has to try: insert too many stems as filler, use old leaves that weren't dried right, or silently swap in weaker mints like spearmint. None of those are the least excusable, considering how common and relatively inexpensive peppermint is, and how easily it grows in many parts of the U.S. (even in the nutrient-poor red clay of central Oklahoma that is best used for making bricks). Straight peppermint should be a nicely profitable retail tea even at high quality.
Fortunately, Bromley did not do those bad things, and appears to have used a sharp, cool breed of peppermint sourced fairly freshly. It's not the strongest peppermint tea I've had, but probably is near top 1/3 level. Both dry and wet bag give off a lot of aroma, yet still enough of the ester comes out of the leaves during steeping that it tastes duly robust and even with any reasonable expectations. My only complaint is that, as with one other of their teas that I've tried (Egyptian Chamomile), the bag leaked leaves into the liquid. It wasn't as profuse this time, but still...two such episodes from separate teas indicate a problem with how the bags are shut (or in these cases, incompletely shut) at the factory.
