This is a very nice surprise. I am used to lapsang souchongs that are thoroughly smoky, in fact I even thought lapsang souchong meant smoked tea (duh) - but this is another animal entirely. It is mellow and earthy, with a soft mouthfeel. There is no astringency or unpleasant notes, and it is nice with milk or on its own. Thanks to Rate Tea for introducing me to Tea Vivre; I will certainly be buying more teas from this company.
