this is definitely my favorite chai blend.
i've tried several others (searching for a cheaper alternative), including a couple from an indian vendor, and they all fell short of rishi's.
as alex wrote in his review, it is a strong blend with plenty of spice (many other blends fail here). and unlike a lot of other blends, rishi uses whole (not crushed up) cardamom seedpods. i don't really know for sure if that's significant, but i've found that brands using crushed / shucked cardamom lack cardamom power.
i tried making my own chai once (blending some spices and tea at my friend's house), and it was just OK. granted, i didn't put a lot of thought or effort into it, but if i wanted to work on my own blend, i'd emulate rishi's.

Did you brew this just as a standard tea, or did you use Rishi's recommendations to prepare it separately in a saucepan with milk?

brewed in a mug with boiling water. after a few mins, i think i added milk and brought it back up to a boil by microwaving it. then i strained it after maybe 5 mins or so.
