I have tried most of the tea made by these folks. They are all great. In the green tea , the aroma is what stands out first. I don't know how to describe it but I will say that it is a smooth unfamiliar spice that opens up wonder. The thought of childhood. I will say that it is one of my favorite aromas.
The flavor is solid and doesn't need extras but at the same time not overpowering. Goes great with caviar over butter on rye bread if you are into that kind of thing. I will say that this combination of flavors is something you should put on your bucket list.
The price varies but is marked up double on line. Your best bet is to find a Russian/European marker which can be be found in larger American cities. They all seem to carry this stuff for around $7 for an 8.8oz bag. There you can find the caviar and rye as well.
The down side is that the bag says natural and "artificial" flavors. I looked up the company who makes this tea and was unsuccessful in contacting them to see what artificial means. The website given on the bag leads to some host page which doesn't seem well maintained. I'll be optimistic and say that they probably haven't kept up on the website side of things. Cheers!

I've only had one pot of this, but was it super! Very Russian, by which I mean it had a certain heaviness that makes you think of old incense, but neither smells not tastes like incense. You can get it on Amazon and it is really worth it.

I recall drinking a rose black tea from Czar Nicholas II a long time ago and really enjoying it, but I was disappointed with this tea. I don't know which blend I tried before;it may have been something different from this one.
While the black tea used actually seems to be fairly high-quality, it's overpowered by an artificial-seeming fruity flavor. I wonder what the tea without flavor would taste like--this one had just the right amount of bitterness and does not become too astringent if you steep it a long time. It's also pretty inexpensive (under $18/lb.) but I'll still pass on this one.
