I got this tea in a gift box, made of lightweight wood, stamped with both Mlesna's and Metropolitan's branding, and containing a brick of 25 small teabags (about half the volume of Celestial, Murchie's or other similarly square to rectangular ones) wrapped in a single foil-colored plastic wrapper. Even after looking at both companies' websites, I'm not sure if one company owns the other now, or if they just have a joint-branding agreement, since Mlesna is based in Sri Lanka, and presumably produces the tea, while Metro clearly markets it here.
This really should be labeled as Island Tea with Coconut Flavor, because the main flavor is the base tea itself—a sharp, somewhat astringent Ceylon that brews dark fast and takes well to sweetener. Despite the lack of greater tea quantity, the tea itself produced a medium to strong brew after about 4–5 minutes of steeping. That tells me this would e a really robust cup in a normal-sized teabag. Since it's OK as-is, with apparently a good-quality Ceylon leaf used, but still could be better in the boldness department due to lack of more, I'll not give it the full 5 stars. Too bad I'll have to double up on this to optimize the experience. Still, the quality is good enough that I won't dock the "value" score too much. The coconut flavor certainly takes a backseat to the tea, but shows up much better in the flavor than the (weak) aroma).
