Hibiscus Spice tastes like its title promises, and that's a good thing. The blend uses a sweet, smooth hibiscus as the main flavor, with cinnamon, apple, and perhaps cloves (all flavors I enjoy), in that order. It yields a delicious, non-caffeinated cup of warming fruit tea that should make a splendid wintertime bedtime beverage. Unlike some hibiscus-based teas, this wasn't at all tart, except at the end of the aftertaste, and even then, just slightly. Though I'm not a drinker of it, the flavor profile reminds me of (descriptions of) sweet mulled wine.
The dry-bag aroma was among the strongest of herbal teas I've tried, and that transferred almost identically to in-cup liquid and even the post-steeped wet bag. The material only fills up half the bag, even wet, so clearly Teavana's overlords aren't using cheap nor low-quality ingredients here.
Prices seem to vary a lot for this tea, from around $8 to $15 for a 24-ct box, depending on outlet. Even the lowest are still somewhat expensive for bagged teas, including from the seemingly official product page is on an apparently new site "teavanabrand dot com" that has a lot of their new bagged teas catalogued, including this. Alas, it looks to have been thrown together hastily and cheaply, as the site also has several obviously AI-generated nonsense images and some messed-up AI titling. I wouldn't risk ordering from such a site, which might be illegitimate.
Regardless, the tea itself is real, and if given an opportunity to drink it via gifts, hotels, conferences, cafes, or other means, please give it a try.
