Jasmine green tea, flavored also with lemongrass, was a novel and interesting idea in my tea-chugging experience, and Teavana products are generally known for solid quality. As such, I did not hesitate a microsecond to grab an extra bag from a hotel's tea rack to test out.
The dry aroma was more lemony than jasmine, but jasmine is slightly more prominent in the in-cup aroma and taste. The green tea seems rather flavorful and smooth, without being overly weedy or grassy, and accepts flavoring well without receding into oblivion. Even though the wet bag smelled a little like a Sears mall store, or more precisely, the floor cleaners used therein, that's the least important aspect of my rating, since few people breathe through the used teabag after drinking. So flavor gets 4/5 stars, and I rarely offer 5s!
Then I looked up the price, and nearly choked. Unfortunately it's consistent with most other 24-ct boxes of Teavana teabags lately. Although this is a very good tea, at prices such as 62ยข/bag (Wal-Mart and Amazon as of this writing), it is incredibly expensive. Were it not for the hotel introduction, I would purchase this only once, for the novelty of a yet-untried flavor that seems very tasty (and was).
