Fruity Paradise seems to epitomize the "Miscellaneous Blend" category on RateTea, as it contains pieces of four fruits (pineapple, mango, raspberry, strawberry), two tea types (green and black), a flower (rose petals), and "natural flavors." Though a 4-oz. plastic and aluminum can appears in the photo, it also comes in a 1.6-oz. reclosable plastic bag, as I purchased at an H-E-B store in north Texas.
The dry-leaf aroma was potent, sweet and slightly sour: mostly pineapple with the other fruits, green tea, and rose all faintly detectable in the background. Since I like pineapple, that was mighty dandy. Eating one of the pineapple pieces reveals it's a strong, well-dried type, and also highly candied. In fact, the mango is well-sugared too, something to be aware of if highly sugar-sensitive (though the concentration in a full cup of tea won't be very great).
Though some black tea exists in here, and fruit flavors tend to come out stronger when steeped longer, I first followed the more green-tea-like, 1–3-minute, lower-temperature brewing instructions typical for green tea. That produced a weaker version of what's described below. Then I went with a 5–6-minute steep, which didn't seem to render the green-tea component overly bitter, and indeed cranked up the rest. The longer-brewed result was probably the best fruit green tea I've had: a well-balanced, fruit-punch and green-tea flavor, still more pineapple than other fruits, but by only a slim margin, and still a faint whiff of rose. Though I use sweetener, I suspect many folks won't desire to. Although I loved this tea overall, its per-ounce price was high, but in this particular case you get what you pay for. Had it been inexpensive and this good, the rating would have been a 9/5/5 rack, and I never have given a 100.
