Half-litre pot at home, made from a mixture of fine black and dark brown leaves of black tea (Assam and Ceylon?), and pieces of freeze-dried cherries and blueberries, all sprinkled with an aroma. Pours nearly clear dark copper brown (against white china) with no sediment. Strong aroma of caramel and fruit, with malty and minty notes of Assam and mild touches of berries. Bitter flavour of Assam, with malty and berrylike touches and pronounced notes of caramel. Astringent palate of strong black tea, with fudgy and herbal notes of mint. Well, certainly black, and enjoyed in the slow Southern style, but I am afraid there is not much velvet here, at least not in terms of softness. Still, a nice and quite well-balanced drink. Fair price (DKK 37 per 100 g).
