Zealong is a New Zealand based company, founded by Vincent Chen, that produces oolong tea grown in New Zealand. The tea is grown in Waikato, in the Tasman region, the northernmost part of the south island. This area is coastal, moderate in temperature, and has very high year-round precipitation, with hills rising to moderate elevations.
In the U.S., Zealong's teas were first available through Chicago Tea Garden, which has since closed. RateTea lists Zealong teas here under their own brand name.

Out of the package the tea has a lovely light floral scent. Not very strong, but immensely pleasing. I steeped the tea with freshly boiled (but not boiling) water.
