The tea's aroma is an almost equal balance of spearmint ("Nana Mint") and ginger. The mint is of good quality, with no stems apparent and no off flavors that are sometimes apparent in cheaper mint teas. Unfortunately, Wissotzky seems to have decided that all of their herbal teas, including this one, need to be sweetene...

The dry tea is pungent, smelling of both spearmint and peppermint with a hint of cinnamon. Adding water intensifies the aroma without really changing the balance.
