Both the dry tea bag and brewing tea smell like straight-up spearmint oil.
Bigelow's base tea is too mild to stand up to the spearmint and I can neither taste nor smell any tea at all. Aside from the color, this is indistinguishable from plain spearmint. The spearmint is good, but I expect to taste tea in my tea.

This tea is notably tastier than I was expecting. The mint was an accent, not dominant (and it wasn't spearmint, which is good). This is my go-to Twinings tea. Why? I enjoy the strong, minty scent, and in the winter it is most comforting.

This is my favorite tea. I drink a minimum of two cups a day, and my tea "cup" is a huge 2-cup mug. I sometimes add a drop or two of spearmint extract to give it more kick. No lemon, no milk/cream, just sweetener. I like to make mint-flavored iced tea with it also.

Aroma is candy-like and flavor is very smooth. While this pales in comparison to brewing quality black tea together with fresh spearmint, it's enjoyable.

Strong peppermint aroma, dominating the other aromas; only a weak aroma of black tea and spearmint. An unpleasant sourness. Definitely not among my favorite black tea / mint blends.
