Pure Endurance from Guayaki
Style: Flavored Yerba Maté – Region: Blend63 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Aug. 15th, 2013
In college we used to drink this one before art history exams, in hopes that it would make the subject more interesting. It did not, but man does it kick you in the face. Certainly made for some fun times.
The flavor is as grassy and clean as you'd expect from a yerba mate, though there's a tinge of orange in the ...
Black Cherry Berry Herb Tea from Celestial Seasonings
Style: Fruit (Herbal) Tea – Region: Blend60 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Aug. 15th, 2013
Celestial Seasonings makes a lot of caffeine-free fruit teas, which I very much appreciate for later in the day. This one is probably my least favorite, but it's certainly not horrible by any stretch of the word.
The aroma is distinctly sweet and berry-laden, and the color is a rich magenta-red. The flavor is good...
Irish Breakfast from Twinings
Style: Irish Breakfast – Region: ?????60 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Aug. 15th, 2013
When I first tried this tea, I was quite young, and hated it. I can only assume that my young palate had not grown accustomed to strong black teas, because now I find it much more agreeable.
The flavor and aroma are both fairly good, much better than the English Breakfast tea. Definitely malty, and it takes very w...
English Breakfast from Twinings
Style: English Breakfast – Region: ?????40 / 100 Aroma: 3/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 3/5
Aug. 15th, 2013
This tea is nothing special. It's a pity, you'd expect Twinings to get at least a basic English Breakfast tea right, but sadly this one falls short. Not only is the flavor lacking, but it's easily overbrewed, and tends towards the bitter side.
If one manages to properly brew it, there's still nothing to write ho...
Country Peach Passion® Herbal Tea from Celestial Seasonings
Style: Fruit (Herbal) Tea – Region: ?????60 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Aug. 15th, 2013
As far as fruit teas go, this one's not bad. Unfortunately I am spoiled by the Republic of Tea's Ginger Peach, and this one does not measure up to that. However, it is pleasant enough. Sweet, as with all Celestial Seasonings fruit teas, and distinctly peachy. The aroma was a bit lacking, but overall, worth a try.

Style: Fruit (Herbal) Tea – Region: ?????40 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 2/5
Aug. 8th, 2013
Blah. Stash has never impressed me, and this was no different. For a flavor I generally adore, this brew had almost zero taste. There wasn't even much tea present. The smell was good, enough, but ultimately misleading, as the tea itself was no more flavorful than hot water. Not worth it.

Style: Jasmine Tea – Region: ?????60 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Aug. 8th, 2013
Not overwhelming in any sense of the word, but I do like to keep this blend kicking around the cupboard. The jasmine is more present in the smell than the flavor. In fact, it tastes more like a straight-up, mild green tea than anything else.
It's very easy to overbrew, so be careful, but overall it's all right. ...
Raspberry Zinger Herbal Tea from Celestial Seasonings
Style: Fruit (Herbal) Tea – Region: ?????80 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Aug. 8th, 2013
Well, I was surprised, and pleasantly so. I am a fan of fruity teas, but the fluffy packaging had long dissuaded me from exploring this brand. I was convinced this had to be some wishy-washy hippie drudgery.
Nonetheless, I tried this one because it was so highly recommended - and it was excellent. There is zero t...
Lady Grey from Twinings
Style: Fruit Black Tea – Region: Blend47 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 3/5
Aug. 6th, 2013
I was unimpressed with this variation on the classic Earl Grey. Of course, this blend lacks the bergamot which makes Earl Grey so distinctive, I think in an attempt to soften the flavor. Unfortunately, for me it softens the flavor too much.
To me this tea tastes weak and thin. While the overall blend of citrus is...
Earl Grey from Bigelow Tea
Style: Earl Grey Tea – Region: Blend40 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 2/5
Aug. 6th, 2013
I appreciate Bigelow's attempt at making a nice, strong Earl Grey. Unfortunately, something about the flavor does not agree with my palate. I find it to be very easily overbrewed, and often finicky. Nearly every cup I have tried has an unpleasant, bitter aftertaste.
I'll probably continue to try this one, in ho...
Chai (formerly Indian Spiced Chai) from Twinings
Style: Chai / Spiced Tea – Region: ?????57 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Aug. 6th, 2013
This is a decent chai, pretty standard fare as far as bagged chai teas go. Like most Twinings teas, it is not as strong as I would like. However, it's easy to find and there is nothing particularly fantastic or horrible about the flavor.
Nothing to write home about, but a reliable and easily obtainable chai tea.
Ginger Peach from Republic of Tea
Style: Flavored Black Tea – Region: ?????83 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 3/5
Aug. 6th, 2013
This is my favorite loose-leaf tea. Right out of the package, the scent is wonderful, a sign of good things to come.
I have not found a peach blend that so perfectly balances the peach flavor with that of the black tea. It's a nice, strong brew, with a definite peachy tinge. The scent is equally pleasant, smellin...
Earl Grey from Twinings
Style: Earl Grey Tea – Region: ?????57 / 100 Aroma: 4/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Aug. 6th, 2013
This was the first Earl Grey I ever had, and so I cannot help but compare every Earl Grey since with this one. Probably a bad habit, as this is not an exemplary blend.
The overall flavor is pleasant, mild, and unobtrusive. The scent leaves something to be desired, as does the strength. As Earl Greys go, this one ...
Premium Black Tea - Pure Mint from Twinings
Style: Black Tea with Mint – Region: Blend67 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Aug. 6th, 2013
This is my go-to Twinings tea. Why? I enjoy the strong, minty scent, and in the winter it is most comforting.
That said, the actual flavor leaves something to be desired. It does taste mostly of mint, with only the barest hint of black tea underneath. Now, the minty taste is the reason I like it, but I fully und...
Constant Comment Decaffeinated from Bigelow Tea
Style: Flavored Black Tea – Region: Blend67 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 4/5
Aug. 6th, 2013
As this was the first tea I ever tasted, it is only fitting that it should be my first review.
The orange comes through strongly in the aroma, though less so in taste. The flavor is more mild, the tea muted under various spices and a hint of orange. It is not a very strong tea, but it is a reliable and pleasant br...
