Loose-Leaf Gomvir Assam Spring Natural Artisanal Green Tea from TEAORB

Wiry, twisted tea leaves with ranges of olive-brown colorsView Full Resolution

This long-leafed Assam green tea has an appearance typical of green teas produced in the Assam region. It's a spring harvest, but still a dark color, probably owing to some combination of the large leaf size and the heavier, humid air in the lower-altitude regions where this tea is made.

This tea was more astringent than most of the other green teas in the batch. I actually found it more appealing visually than flavor-wise; some of the other teas in the batch didn't look quite as attractive before brewing, but tasted better to me.
