If you like a strong black tea then this one is for you. This tea has the smell of a traditional Assam with a hint of a fruity undertone that you just can't put your finger on. The steeped liquor is a beautiful amber color. This tea is full bodied, strong, malty, astringent, and very tannic. This tea lingers in your mouth for a long time, and leaves it quite dry. You can sense a slight fruity undertone, but only briefly at the beginning. This is a great morning tea. It holds up nicely with cream or milk. I prefer to add a half a teaspoon of acacia honey to this one. Again, another lovely straight tea that Teavana has replaced for some fruity dessert tea blends.
