Very impressed with quality and value of this tea. Ahmad teas continues to surprise me with nice flavors and aromas that more expensive brands often miss. I first came across their Darjeeling, which has become a staple when I visit my local Indian Market, and have since had the chance to try a variety of their other teas. This Ceylon OPA ranks favorably, with a subtle and light flavor for short steeps (2.5 to 3 minutes) and darker, bolder color and flavor for longer steeps (5 to 7 minutes).
Slight roasted taste with tones of raisin or dried fruit. Slight bitterness and astringency, but clean and smooth overall. Reminiscent of some Keemun teas I have tried, but definitely a quality black Ceylon tea with briskness and good flavor.
