My favorite tea from Frontier yet, I thought this a top-quality black tea and one of the better Ceylons I've sampled from any company.

The dry leaf is quite beautiful, and has a mild but pleasant aroma of malt and spice that is lighter and cooler than most malty teas.

Upon brewing, the aroma becomes a bit dusty, and as I sip the cup, it is also fruity. The fruitiness is strong smelling and suggests sweetness, but the cup is more muted in flavor. Rich and warming, more so than most Ceylons, especially if brewed strongly, but has a cooler and lighter background than most Assams. Bold savory (umami) flavor for this type of tea. Has a sort of British character, I think this is a good tea if you like that sort of aesthetic.

I like this tea much better if brewed more strongly, I recommend a 5 minute steep time and using a little more than a teaspoon of leaf per cup. The tea is smooth and can be brewed quite strongly before it becomes bitter or astringent. I also found this tea grew on me as I drank it multiple times. I liked how I felt after drinking it.

Outstanding price for a tea of this quality, especially given that it is both organic and fair trade certified! I highly recommend this one!
