I’ve prepared this longjing in a glass and steeped it with water around 80C. It’s more a grandpa style of brewing, but I like it this way with Longjing.
The first brew is delicious. It has the usual nutty and toasty characteristics, but not too strong. The flavour isn’t as vegetal as most green teas, which I like. Instead, I taste fresh bean like flavours. In the second steep the bean flavour comes more in the foreground. The flavour is very full. The third steep is light, but still enjoyable. The bean flavour is there, but it now as some slight citrus notes as well.
