Half-litre pot at home, made from a mixture of various strong black teas (Assam and, perhaps, Ceylon, judging by the looks and the scent), ground Bourbon vanilla and aroma. Pours clear robust copper brown (against white china) with no sediment. Clear aroma of malty, leafy Assam, with touches of vanilla and hints of cream. Leafy and bitterish flavour of Assam leaves, complemented by sweet notes of vanilla and touches of fudge. Astringent palate, smoothened by notes of vanilla in the aftertaste. A delicious East Frisian tea. Strong but relaxing and definitely well-balanced. Not exactly cheap but still reasonable, even by German standards (€6.10 per 100 g).
