Half-litre pot at home, made from a mixture of black tea from Ceylon, China and India (most of it looks like Ceylon and Assam, but a fee longer rolled leaves can be found, too), pieces of orange and lemon peel as well as anise, star anise, cinnamon and cloves - a truly autumnal composition. Pours clear copper brown (against white china) with no sediment. Clear aroma of cinnamon, anise, orange and black tea leaves. Sweetish flavour of orange peel and cinnamon, with notes of cream and malty touches of Assam, as well as leafy notes of other tea leaves. Smooth palate with an aftertaste of anise and malt, and citric touches of lemon peel. Definitely a rewarding cup on a rainy autumn evening. Fair price for this heartwarming treat (€5.20 per 100 g).
