Half-litre pot at home, made from a mixture of black tea (probably Assam) leaves and Rooibos as well as small pieces of salted butter caramel, all sprinkled with aroma. Pours clear darkish copper brown (against white china) with no sediment. Clear aroma of caramel, with notes of black tea leaves and touches of Rooibos. Sweetish flavour of butter caramel and Rooibos, with leafy and malty notes of (?) Assam and hints of vanilla. Smooth, creamy palate of caramel and Rooibos, with mild, astringent notes of black tea. A really good caramel tea - I have tasted a few and this one is definitely in the top league. Fortunately, it is affordable, too (€5 per 100 g). I have brewed this pot from a free sample I received in my local outlet, so I am looking forward to buying a regular portion.
