Cup at home, made from fine dark brown and black leaves of Ceylon. Pours slightly hazy dark copper brown. Clear aroma of black tea leaves, malty with notes and touches of cardamom. Ditto flavour, although the malty notes are less pronounced than in the aroma. Bitter, astringent but not aggressive, palate, with a leafy aftertaste with touches of cardamom. My staple morning cup for months now, since I bought a half-kilogram box. Decent and unpretentious. Besides, ridiculously cheap where I got it (an Asian grocer's in Flensburg, Germany): €4 for 500 g. I see that where I live, just 30 km away, in Denmark, Nine Life sells it for ten times as much.
