One-litre pot at home, made from loose small black leaves of Ceylon, sprinkled with cardamom flavouring. Pours slightly hazy dark copper brown (against white china) with nearly no sediment. Clear aroma of black tea leaves and cardamom, with mild malty touches. Ditto flavour. Astringent palate with a leafy aftertaste and touches of cardamom. Well-balanced, unpretentious and tasty. My staple morning tea, which I buy in large quantities at an extraordinarily low price (€4.49 per 500 g).
