I tried this in a Peet's in the Philadelphia airport. I let it brew 2 minutes. Peet's said they normally include two teabags but I only used one and saved the other for later--and I'm glad because this tea would have been far too strong.
This is unusually strong for a Darjeeling, but this could just be due to a generous amount of leaf in the bag. The cup is very dark, and full-bodied. The aroma has some of the light, floral qualities of a Darjeeling, but it also has a deep, malty quality--but without any edge. The flavor is pleasingly bitter, and a little astringent too but not more than I enjoy.
I tend to not expect much from teabags offered by mainstream coffee retailers, but I was impressed by this tea, and I look forward to trying more of Peet's offerings.
