25 Aroma: 3/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 2/5

The standard tea bags are wrapped in paper, so if they're not put into an airtight container, they'll probably start to go stale before the box of 100 is finished. The dry tea looks like a blend of orthodox and CTC produced teas and smells smoky, malty and a bit like fresh straw.
The brewed tea is disappointing. There's still the smoky quality, but instead of a maltiness, the tea just smells kind of sour, like damp leaves. There's a mild bitterness and astringency, but the flavor's thin and again, a little sour. There's some maltiness there, but it's fleeting. The best thing that can be said is that the tea is mild. It's less bitter than Lipton, but also less flavorful. It reminds me in both appearance and character of Tetley. It's not exactly bad, but it's definitely lackluster. When the tea cools off, the flavor is a little more pronounced, but still lacks any sort of depth or complexity.
At $2 for 100 tea bags (totalling 8 ounces of tea), this is one of the cheapest teas I've ever tasted. Unless cost is your only criterion, though, I'd still recommend something else.

Jul. 11, 2012
Brian Sell reviews this tea, calling it "The ALDI Alternative to the Lipton Brand", and commenting that while the brands taste very similar, this one is slightly lacking -- a rather harsh judgment as Lipton isn't exactly regarded as the cream of the crop among teas. But Sell also emphasizes that this product is considerably cheaper per box, and remarks that it is considerably better than dollar-store brands in a similar price range.
