Pretty much summing up what the other reviews do - a very standard tea where there are others out there that are better. Tried hot it is bland, I only drink it iced and with plenty of sugar if I have it. Seems bitter easily if overdone though, so care with that.

I'd rather drink Oprah's bathwater filtered through a dirty gym sock than Lipton black tea. In the Navy, this is all we had. But during port visits, I visited every shop I could in order to find some drinkable black. Sometimes I won, sometimes I lost. Sometimes I drank coffee instead.

If your looking to pull an all nighter, this is the tea to do it with. If your looking to just enjoy a cup of tea, there are better teas at the same price.

This is a rather dull tea both in the nose and on the palate. Definitely not something to get excited about. Having said that, it's not a terrible tea either. Iced or hot, it can be enjoyed.

Many people who drink orthodox tea scorn at bagged tea (tea dust, as it is called in my family).
I do drink vast quantities of loose leaf, quality tea, but I don't despise Lipton's classic blend. I do not drink it hot though, I think that it tastes better iced and that is the manner which I drink it most. Would I ever purchase a box of Lipton tea bags? Probably not. But do I hate the stuff? Definitely not. I think it is enjoyable when the palate is in the mood for something that it does not have to work so hard to decipher.

No matter how I make it or what I add, I can never seem to brighten the flavor of this tea. It manages to be both bland and bitter, but it does its job well on the days when you just need something hot to drink (and can't taste anything).

This tea is low-grade swill. It's popular only because of advertising and price, not because of taste. It delivers an artificial, generic tea flavor. Even if someone wants an orange and black pekoe tea Red Rose, Tetley, and/or Bromley are arguably slightly better but definitely a better buy. Given a choice between drinking lipton and a cup of hot water I'll take the water.

Well....it tastes like it tastes. I could probably ID this tea blindfolded. It reminds me oddly of yerba mate and never brews very strong. Aroma is pretty much nil. I only really drink this tea at hotels.

Put it this way: when this is the only tea available, I think long and hard about whether I have to have a cup of tea.

This tea is very basic. Its flavor and aroma are flat, and it is clearly made of scrap bits of tea, but it will do in a pinch.
