Cranberry Autumn from Harney and Sons
Style: Flavored Black Tea – Region: Blend60 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Jan. 17th, 2015
This mild, pleasant tea has a strong smell out of the bag but a mild one in the cup.
I like eating cranberries for food, but wasn’t sure about as a focus note in tea. It’s in the background and almost makes me want to say it’s an astringent feel, but it’s not. It’s natural and not artificial, not stron...
Rooibos Vanilla (Vanilla Rooibos) from Adagio Teas
Style: Flavored Rooibos – Region: ?????27 / 100 Aroma: 3/10 Flavor: 1/5 Value: 1/5
Jan. 10th, 2015
Not for me. I’m not a straight vanilla in tea fan anyway so I had doubts I’d like this. It’s not the worst thing but not something I can keep drinking or will drink again.
The smell is slightly artificial but kind of pleasant. The taste is…well, not good for me since I don’t like vanilla teas. People who d...
The Black Lotus (English Breakfast) from Butiki Teas
Style: English Breakfast – Region: Blend67 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Jan. 10th, 2015
I was so curious about The Black Lotus. Even the name is awesome. The reviews are great. It arrived here fast – loving the design of the bag. So sad Butiki is closing right when I am discovering them.
I brewed this twice – the first time I must have done it too hot a steep and too little as it wasn’t quite str...
Plum Brandy Cheesecake from Butiki Teas
Style: Flavored Oolong – Region: Blend77 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Jan. 10th, 2015
Oh, so yummy! I wasn’t sure what I would think of this one because of the unusual sounding combination. The smell out of the bag was rich with cheesecake and a small sniff of plum – the tea was dark and with flecks of purple and colors. A happy looking tea.
At first sip I didn’t get much but more came clea...
Wah (Spring) Kangra Black Tea from Teabox
Style: Black Tea – Region: Himachal Pradesh, India40 / 100 Aroma: 4/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 2/5
Jan. 10th, 2015
A very unusual tea. It has a lot of green in it, and brews and tastes to me more like a green tea than a black, as the other reviewer mentioned. It also has a small unpleasant bitterness. I think the next time I brew it, I will make it like a green tea with a lower temperature.
The smell is vegetal and aromatic....
Florence from Harney and Sons
Style: Flavored Black Tea – Region: Blend80 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Jan. 10th, 2015
A pleasant tea that reminds me of a Giovanni Cocoa powder I had in my cupboard for awhile. This double chocolate cocoa powder smelled great but was kind of crappy as a hot chocolate – I’m NOT saying this is crappy as a cocoa tea, but they remind me of each other. Basically the taste of THIS reminds me of the aroma ...

A very good tea from Harney & Sons. I’m a recent convert to Lapsang, so was excited to see the description of this one blended with that tea for a smoother version.
It is smoky but slightly, and all the teas blend together to make a smooth, smooth tea that has no bitterness, no astringency, and a subtle but very...
Golden Monkey from Harney and Sons
Style: Golden Monkey – Region: Fujian, China80 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 4/5
Jan. 10th, 2015
I have had this sample of Golden Monkey for awhile. A few years back I tried Adagio teas Golden Monkey and remember enjoying it quite a bit.
This tea really does have a comforting, golden glow about it. It just puts me in a good mood to drink it. I add a small smidge of sugar but it already has a nice sweetness that...
White Christmas (Loose) from Harney and Sons
Style: Flavored White Tea – Region: Blend67 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Jan. 10th, 2015
I don’t like peppermint tea but this is the best one I’ve had. It’s mild and not in your face peppermint and works to blend with the other flavors. Pleasant to drink and calming. Also smells delicious. I wasn’t able to taste any nutty flavors though.

First, the smell of this is incredibly divine. It’s like Red Hot candies or fireballs. My friend and I took it to have others smell it and they all said the same thing. I don’t think you could – no matter what you put in it – make anything smell more cinnamony than this.
This is the first full cinnamon t...
White Peony (Pai Mu Tan) from Adagio Teas
Style: White Peony Tea – Region: Fujian, China83 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 5/5
Dec. 29th, 2011
I'm very naive when it comes to white teas and prefer stronger blends myself. Even I can clearly tell this is a quality tea, very smooth and light 'clean' taste with a tad touch of grassiness. Sugar would likely kill it as it's naturally sweet on its own. Uplifting and refreshing, just not something I'd drink normally ...

Wanted to relax tonight before bed, so I thought the perfect way to do this was to take a nice, hot bubble bath, sip some Assam Melody from Adagio teas, and finish the novel I’ve been reading.
I wanted to try a sample that wasn’t too risky since I didn’t want to accidentally grab a sampler I didn’t like and ...
Christmas Tea from Twinings
Style: Chai / Spiced Tea – Region: Blend63 / 100 Aroma: 3/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 5/5
Dec. 25th, 2011
The smell was barely existent but the taste is strong and filled with delightful Cinnamon. Christmas tea is really just a Chai Tea, but I love Chai so this is perfect. It’s ironic but recently, after trying some Chais, almost all dissappoint. I first found Chai years ago in teabag form and swooned. I have since tried...

The tea is extremely mild flavored. A basic black tea with a little flavor added in. Good for a quick pinch but nothing worth investing in. Similar - to me - to heating up a tea bag from the grocery store.

I didn't like this tea. My son, my little tea tasting buddy, also disliked it. However, it is what it says it is - a smooth cream tea, so I cannot rate it badly. Just completely not my preference. Very creamy and tastes convincing.

This was my favorite from the little wooden gift set from the company. My son and I devoured these bags first. Found the taste delightful and strong. Would love to find a loose leaf orange spice tea that I enjoy even more from an online vedor. I'm sure there's even better out there, but for a bagged tea this one had qu...

I have to say that, especially for a plain black tea, I find this divine. I’ve purchased a few boxes and it’s a staple go-to tea for a quick cup of tea that’s bold and refreshing when I have little time. I do drink it with sugar (1 tsp.) to enhance the flavor. Deep and rich, careful not to oversteep. My son enjoy...

A good black blend with potent wake-up appeal. Had a strange taste I have trouble identifying, a natural sweetness, and a nice smooth strength. Tea had a decent energy kick to it as I felt rejuvenated drinking it rather than relaxed, which is a good thing depending on the moment. Although the tea is enjoyable, not sure...

Pretty much summing up what the other reviews do - a very standard tea where there are others out there that are better. Tried hot it is bland, I only drink it iced and with plenty of sugar if I have it. Seems bitter easily if overdone though, so care with that.

I was excited about this one from the description, and when I opened the bag, the gorgeous, strong smell enticed me. I was looking for an Adagio tea that would suit my cravings for a good Orange Spice, and also my love for Chai and spicy teas.
Sadly the tea was much milder than the scent. Without sugar it was basic...
Tropical China Black from Bromley Tea
Style: Fruit Black Tea – Region: China90 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 4/5
Dec. 20th, 2011
This tea was delicious! I tried a sample out of curiosity from a gas station by purchasing a bag and making it at home. It seemed like it might hit the spot and I was in the mood for some experimentation.
The black tea is dark and rich, especially for a bagged tea. I am not a fruit tea fan but it is a mild taste of ...
Thai Chai from Adagio Teas

It's funny but I didn't even notice when ordering a sample of this that it had coconut. I noticed it as a mild taste with each sip. I'm not the biggest coconut fan but it blended smoothly with the chai and other flavorings and was a nice treat. I prefer the traditional Masali but this is a refreshing change. Fortunatel...
