A decent, run-of-the-mill oolong that tastes a lot like the ones served in Chinese restaurants. Sample from the Philadelphia Coffee and Tea Festival; thank you to Sahpat Teas and Kelsey for sharing this one with me.
Leaf looks finely broken, and doesn't have the strongest smell, but upon brewing, becomes very aromatic.
The cup has a pleasing nutty and woody smell. Lightly roasty, but the roast isn't overbearing and is less than I'd expect from the color and smell of the dry leaf.
Clean flavor...a sort of steady astringency follows me through the sip from start to finish, leaving a sensation of cool, clean stone on the palate. There's a light bitterness. This tea has just a bit more edge than most oolongs, but not too much, and less than typical black teas.
This tea, surprisingly, tasted exquisite when cooled...perhaps even better than hot.
Price is pretty cheap...not the best quality oolong though. I'd say it's a decent / fair price but not a bargain buy.

This tea was really good, reminiscent of tea served at my favorite Chinese restaurant growing up.
Full yet mild flavor, with both steepings being rich. The leaf could have yielded more cups if had the time. The dried leaves smell like raisins!
