Avaata Supreme Nilgiri Green Tea First Flush (Organic) from Golden Tips
Style: Green Tea – Region: Nilgiri, India87 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 4/5

Magnificent! Not quite what I would expect form green tea; definitely thought is was more reminiscent of high quality green oolongs.
I couldn't get enough of the vegetal flavor and buttery soupy texture. This was a thick tea, and practically a meal in itself.
Handles well over multiple steepings; I'm pretty sure...
Bao Zhong Oolong Tea from Rishi Tea
Style: Pouchong Tea – Region: Taiwan / Formosa100 / 100 Aroma: 10/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 5/5

If my heaven could exist in a teacup, I think I may have found it here.
I thought this tea was phenomenal. The silky smooth mouthfeel and the orchid, honeysuckle. and vegetal tones were to. die. for. I don't think I could get enough!
This tea lasts for multiple infusions; the first is by far the best, but I th...
Iron Buddha from Simply Good Tea
Style: Tie Guan Yin – Region: Fujian, China80 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5

Great oolong! Subtle all around; light floral tones, light color, and light vegetable flavor all make for a pleasing drink. Tea left a buttery soft texture on my lips. Simply Good Teas lives up to their name; nothing overly fancy, but very good!

Fantastic tea! I'm also incredibly excited that it's grown in the United States.
For a black tea, I was surprised that the taste reminded me of my favorite oolongs; there was a lot of vegetable flavor happening in my cup.
Honey Black Tea from Health & Tea
Style: Black Tea – Region: Taiwan / Formosa93 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 5/5

Wow, not what I was expecting from a black tea in a really good way! This sample came from the Philadelphia Coffee & Tea Expo.
Brews more like an oolong, which is right up my alley. Has the strong vegetable taste of cooked greens. No bitterness at the end. Slight natural sweetness. Floral tones in the dried lea...
Red-Tailed Hawk from Andrews & Dunham Damn Fine Teas
Style: Black Tea – Region: India77 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Dec. 25th, 2014
First off, I need to comment on the red-tail description at Andrew & Dunham's website - love the sense of humor guys! I don't think I'll be hugging a red-tail hawk anytime soon...
Normally I'm not a fan of blended tea, so I was surprised to like this one so much. I especially love the richness of the tea and that ...
Oolong Formosa from Sahpat Teas
Style: Oolong Tea – Region: Taiwan / Formosa87 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 5/5
Nov. 26th, 2014
This tea was really good, reminiscent of tea served at my favorite Chinese restaurant growing up.
Full yet mild flavor, with both steepings being rich. The leaf could have yielded more cups if had the time. The dried leaves smell like raisins!
Bio Ruanda OP from Teehaus Bachfischer
Style: Black Tea – Region: Rwanda97 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 5/5
Nov. 24th, 2014
I'm surprised that this was an OP - impressive! I agree with Alex, definitely the best OP I've had, ridiculously complex for such a mainstream style.
I definitely noticed a nice roasted taste to the tea and an extremely unexpected subtle vegetable taste, reminiscent of some of my favorite oolongs. The vegetable ...
Top Leaf™ Green Tea from Mellow Monk
Style: Sencha – Region: Kumamoto, Japan90 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 4/5

This was a great tea! It has a hearty vegetable flavor satisfied my taste buds like no other, and the smell was fantastic. I also loved the cheery bright green color!
I made one brew of this tea, letting it steep for 3 minutes, as suggested. I didn't get a chance to try other steepings, hopefully in the future I...
Assam SFTGBOP Tonga Second Flush from TeaGschwendner
Style: Assam – Region: Assam, India67 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Nov. 1st, 2014
I'm having mixed feelings about this tea. Initially the smell was amazing, the dry leaf had a complex and spicy aroma. I wasn't as excited about the smell of the tea once it was brewed, the smell lost all of it's spice tones and reminded me of most basic black teas. The taste was pretty basic as well and also remind...

This tea was amazing! I loved how vegetable-y it smelled and tasted, and how velvety it was going down. Mmmm. This has to be one of the best oolongs I've had in a while. It was a little sweet, but not overwhelming so. I'm very impressed!

Unlike any tea I've had before! This was fantastic. It has a nice somewhat lemony smell and a great flavor. I honestly can't pinpoint what the taste is like, it's unique, somewhat floral and extremely subtle in flavor with a soft sweetness that is barely perceptible. This tea is also super smooth. Extra points from...

This tea was great! I loved how roasty it was and how it didn't have a bitter taste to it. This was a good tea for my first German tea experience. Yum. :)

Eh, this one wasn't bad, not my favorite though. I didn't notice anything outstanding here. I was expecting more of a floral smell than it produced, and more flavor. It reminded me of a light green tea, similar to what Emily suggested.
I will give extra points for this being organic!
Xi Gui Ancient Tree Raw Pu-erh Cake 2013 from TeaVivre
Style: Raw (Sheng) Pu-erh – Region: Yunnan, China70 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5

My entire thought while drinking this was "nothing beats knowing that I'm drinking tea from an ancient tea forest; how cool is that?!" I liked it! It was a nice brew.
The dried leaf does a have a fruity smell, like Alex suggested, not sure if I'd call it grape. The tea once brewed didn't have much of an aroma, ...

This tea was meh. I was expecting a little more from it and slightly disappointed. There wasn't much flavor and not much of a scent either, and I'm all about aroma with tea, even if it is "damp basement" smelling pu-erh, which is what I was told to expect. I work with old books and things, so I kind of like that sme...

This tea was great! I got three brews out of it, all well flavored. The third was quite possibly the best. The second brew was a little too light for me,which could have been because I steeped it for a shorter time with cooler water. I loved the vegetable tones and how smooth it was!

This was a good Darjeeling. Subtly flavored with no bitterness. I thought this was a high quality tea for being bagged. The price was typical for a cafe, I've heard that boxes of this tea can be pricey.

This tea is great for the season, sipping it I couldn't help but feel fall! While this is your run-of-the-mill supermarket tea (and for me, free-from- the-office tea), I definitely enjoyed it, especially on this cool and rainy day. I especially loved the spice tones, both for taste and aroma.
The spice and orang...

Hands down, this is my favorite ever so far Jasmine tea in a sachet! I have been drinking it on special treat for the past several months. I absolutely love the Jasmine smell and the tea tastes exquisite! Each time, I've gotten two full-bodied brews out of my sachet. I plan on trying for a third. No bitterness whats...

This was my first rose petal tea, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect.
The dried flower petals had a nice perfume scent, which I enjoyed because I'm really big on flowery teas. I can imagine that the floral scent wouldn't be for everyone.
The taste was smooth, mild, and pleasant. Nothing bitter about it.

Tung Ting Oolong Tea from Teapigs

This was an exceptional sacheted oolong! The smell was exquisite and so was the taste. This tea can be resteeped at least once, giving more for the money paid. Question remains... where can I get more?? I may need to mail order, as a friend brought this back for me from England.

I loved the smell of this tea. The combo of sage and bergamot was exquisite, crisp, and just what I needed in the moment during a lazy day off. I definitely agree that there was a fresh wintergreen smell which gave this tea a spark.
This tea was a welcome break from my usual routine of vegetal teas, I'd drink ...

This tea took me back to summers spent sitting out at my parent's house on the deck... I've never experienced a tea smelling so summery and think it was because of its lemon and flower tones. I really could have spent most of my night holding the cup in my hand and taking occasional wiffs! Mmm... smells are one of my...

I thought this tea was amazing. It went further than any tea I've had before at 5 cups with the same leaves, with a similar strength. I honestly think I could have brewed more, but my meeting was finished and I had to dump the remainder. I could gush about the vegetal taste of this tea, it was all I could want and mo...
