Jingmai Mountain produces some amazing teas, and this one from Samovar is no exception. They are right on the money when they describe the taste and aroma as: "Deep and malty with hints of baked, bittersweet chocolate and raisin sugar. Lightly roasted body with a slightly sweet finish."
Optimal brewing is with spring water just off the boil for 3.5 to 4 minutes. More time makes it more astringent, but still a nice brew. I can get at least three decent steepings out of the leaves, which makes it a better value since 100 grams for $19 is a bit over my budget.
