This tea has an interesting woody aroma and a smooth flavor. I like it. I added cream and sugar.

Creamy, but with a bold quality to it. Somewhat Darjeeling-like in aroma, but darker in appearance and flavor than most second-flush or autumnal Darjeeling.
Aroma fruity and floral, with some of the characteristic muscatel grape qualities.
I really like the aroma of this tea. My only complaint is that this cup has a moderate amount of astringency, like some of the more tannic Assams.
I found this tea produced much better results with western-style than gong fu style brewing. Western-style, the creamy quality and floral tones balanced the astringency and made the overall cup very pleasant. But when making multiple, brief infusions, I found that, for some reason, the astringency seemed greater, and some of the interesting floral tones were greatly diminished after the first cup.
Good price too!
