Half-litre pot at home, made from a sample included in the tea company's Advent Tea Calendar (2020) and consisting of a mixture of pieces of dried mango, apple, orange peel, and rosehip, as well as the blossom of hibiscus, marigold and safflower, and leaves of rosemary, all sprinkled with flavour but with not a single leaf of camellia sinensis; it is unnecessary, though, as the mixture emits an intense and seductive scent which is hard to describe and just as hard to resist. Pours nearly clear olive green to straw (against white china) with negligible sediment. Intense aroma of rosemary and fruit, probably mango and apple, with some floral hints. Herbal taste of rosemary, with sweetish notes of mango and rosehip, and dry touches of tart apples and oranges. Herbal, mildly astringent palate, with sweetish fruity touches. Rosemary in the long nose. A nice one. Reasonable price, given the context (ca. €0.42 per 1 sample in the collection, but then again, it is a fruit herbal tea, which means that the regular price at TeeGschwendner is unnaturally high).
