Trailesque (156 reviews) on Oct. 16th, 2020
Every once in a while, this low income dude likes to have a taste of what the rich imbibe. In this case, rich Japanese, probably. At the princely price of around $14 per ounce, this just might be the most expensive tea I have ever tried. And my predictable reaction is that it is not worth that kind of money, but it is a perfectly good tea. It is full flavored and complex for such a pallid looking green tea. I got notes of toasted rice, steamed greens, a bit of umami, and a lingering sharpness on the palate. The aroma is inviting, and made me think of my grandmother's kitchen, if her kitchen was outdoors in the fields somewhere.
